The 50th anniversary of Earth
Day doesn't take place until April, but Albion College starts the celebration in March, thanks to a major gift
from Bruce Harper, '67, and his wife Jane. The Harpers gave more than $100,000 to Albion College for climate
change education and action, and to commemorate Earth Day.

Wednesday, March 11 Keynote by Hank Green, modern-day Renaissance man and environmental activist. Brother of bestselling novelist John Green, Hank Green has created and founded a number of internet-based projects, including educational channels for YouTube, the environmental technology blog EcoGeek, the Internet Creators Guild, VidCon, the world's largest conference for online video producers. He has started several businesses and is currently writing a sequel to his debut novel, "An Absolutely Remarkable Thing." 7:30 p.m., Norris Science Center Towsley Hall
