Event: Workshop - Using Creativity to Explore Forms of Racism

Description: Please join the Albion-
Marshall Resilient
Communities Project to
creatively explore race
consciousness, specifically
in response to the
annexation of Albion Public
Schools by Marshall Public
Schools. The workshop will
include a brief overview of
structural, cultural,
environmental, and
educational racism, along
with an opportunity to use
our creativity to express
our feelings, thoughts, and
ideas around racism and it's
role in the recent
annexation of our schools.

Also, please donate any
plastic yogurt/cottage
cheese container lids,
beads, stickers, and old
jewelry by Friday, June
16th. Items can be dropped
off at the Ludington Center
(101 N. Superior St.,
Albion) or Eastend Studio
and Gallery (143 W Michigan
Ave, Marshall). The
Ludington Center is open
from 8am - 8pm Monday -
Friday and 10am - 8pm on
Saturdays. Eastend Studio
and Gallery is open from
10am - 5:30pm Tuesday -
Saturday and Sunday from
noon to 4pm. If you can
donate these items ahead of
time, we can plan ahead to
have enough for everyone;
however, please feel free to
bring them with you to the
workshop also.

This workshop is open to
adults and high school
students. Participants under
the age of 18 must be
accompanied by an adult.
Please register at
amrcp.org/registration and
select "Workshop - Creative
Arts - 6/19"
Please arrive at 5:15pm to
sign in and be ready to
begin promptly at 5:30pm.
